Somia and Jared had a beautiful Rainbow Room wedding in New York. It was my first Muslim marriage ceremony and I loved learning about the traditions and customs. Somia wore two stunning gowns by Zara Shahjahan with jewelry from Neemar, and Jared wore a classic black tuxedo. The bridesmaids wore different gowns, but in a complimentary palette ranging from champagne to blush with sequin details.
For the ceremony Poppies and Posies designed a floral installation that grew up from the ground to decorate the ceremony area, but still show off the impressive views of the New York City skyline. Somia carried a bouquet of creamy white dahlia, spray garden rose and quick fire hydrangea. After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed Bateel dates as they moved to the cocktail reception. We brought in a mirrored escort table from Luxe Event Rentals and the cards were hand calligraphed by Mary Ellen.
Lush florals continued in the Rainbow Room with high and low arrangements filled with creamy white and pale blush dahlia, snapdragon, and roses ranging from creamy white to soft blush and dusty rose. We draped the sweetheart table in a blush sequin linen to make it a little extra special. Poppies and Posies had florals growing up from the ground at the sweetheart table, wrapping around the banister behind and two large urn arrangements in the backdrop too! The bride had found some hand torn vellum cards that we used for place cards with metallic gold calligraphy tied with a pale blush silk ribbon. The menus had a geometric blind debossed background with gold foil lettering, in the same style as their elegant invitation suite from Bella Figura. The wedding cake from Ron Ben-Israel had their invitation monogramme in gold, abstract mixed metallic accents and exquisite sugar flowers.
It was still daylight when guests were invited into dinner and the space was filled with rainbows from all the crystals hanging in the windows reflecting the sunlight! It was a wedding filled with such love from their families and friends. One that I will always remember fondly in my heart. Thank you to Heather Waraksa for capturing all this goodness!
