Cascade Bouquet

I may be yearning for Spring here with a fluid cascade bouquet from our Athenaeum Wedding.  I love the mix of different textures of the various flowers and elegant leafy tendrils.  Beautiful work by Mary Falkingham Floral Designs.green white cascade bouquet

Food Wedding Favours

I often get asked what makes for a good wedding favour.  I am a huge fan of something edible.  A favourite bakery like Billy's Bakery, candy store like Pappabubble, or chocolate shop like Burdick Chocolate make for a sweet treat for your guests to eat on the way home.  Incorporating something to do with the city you are getting married, or perhaps where you are from is also a great idea.  Maybe your family is from the south, and you could do grits with a tasty shrimp and grits recipe.wedding favor shrimp and grits-1

Math Escort Cards

The Groom for our wedding at the Central Park Boathouse was doing his PhD in mathematics, so he decided to use mathematics problems on their escort cards. These ranged from simple additions to matrices and logarithms for his University math colleagues.  We were of course on hand with a master sheet to help any guests who got stuck.  I love adding personal touches like this that reflect the Bride and Groom. The Bride beautifully hand wrote all the Atelier Isabey escort cards, their ketubah, and addressed their invitations for a 200 person wedding!central park boathouse wedding escort card-1

White Amaryllis

Amaryllis with their dramatic bloom are one of my favourite flowers.  They make such an impact whether as a centerpiece or a stunning bouquet.white amaryllis
