Thank you to Carats and Cake for sharing Lindsey and Alan's classic and elegant spring wedding at the Harold Pratt House! Click on the image below to see more of the beautiful pictures by Charliet Juliet and the great team of vendors involved.
Classic, sophisticated, New York, are words that come to mind when I think back on this wedding. Allison and Brian wanted to create a celebration that would be timeless and they chose the perfect Manhattan venue for this. The Harold Pratt House, an elegant townhouse on the upper east side built in 1919-1920. Housing a gorgeous marble staircase, tall ceilings and antique chandeliers. They hung one of their framed engagement pictures in the hallway near the entrance. It was almost like you were inviting your closest family and friends to a celebration at your home (if you were so lucky to live in a place like that!)For their winter wedding we used a palette of crisp white, rich gold, romantic burgundy and touches of blush and lavender. Rountree Flowers created two tablescapes, one with towering white quince branches, and another with low lush arrangements of roses, lisianthus, garden roses and stock. Mercury glass pillar candles of varying heights covered the tables, and uplighting along the drapery surrounding the room created a warm glow.
A few months into planning this wedding, I found out I was expecting and would not be able to manage the wedding the day of, as I was due right about the same time. A big thank you to Allison and Brian for being such understanding clients and so supportive through my pregnancy. A huge thank you to my dear friend Lauren from Loli Events, who took over for me the month prior to the wedding day, and made it such a wonderful day for them both. After all that planning, I was very sad that I could not be there the day of, but these images from Brian Dorsey and video from Kiss the Bride Films were the next best thing. I almost felt like I was there!

The Harold Pratt House is such a special venue, and it worked out perfectly for a very special couple. In honour of Allison and Brian, we created a winter wedding that was classic, sophisticated and timeless. I was so excited to watch this film from Kiss the Bride Films, which beautifully captures the essence of the happy day forever. Another great example of why I think hiring a cinematographer is important. Thank you to Leslie and her team for sharing this highlight.
