We spend all our time working to make someone else's celebration perfect. When bridal market rolls around in the fall, it is a nice change that we all get to party instead! This year Martha Stewart Weddings threw a fabulous party at The Pierre to celebrate their 20th anniversary. It was so fun to have a night out with my wedding family. Here I am with 3 amazing ladies (and fellow mamas), Judy Pak, Mary Lee Herrington and Betsy Thorleifson. Judy's instagram got picked up by Martha Stewart Weddings as one of the best instagrams from the party! I reckon it was Judy's hat that did it for us. Check out the link for more pictures from the awesome night.
Married ladies, are your wedding dresses still hanging in your closets or neatly boxed up and taking up too much room in your New York apartment? Donate it to a very worthy cause! Drop by the Taj Lounge 48th W. 21st street between 6pm and 9pm on April 1st for a drink (10% of proceeds will benefit Wish Upon a Wedding) and bring along your wedding gown if you have one to donate. Gown donations are tax deductible and proceeds will benefit Wish Upon a Wedding, a non profit organization that provides weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness and serious life altering circumstances.
Don't miss the New York Magazine Weddings Event on Thursday. Always a fun time for me to see old friends and meet some new vendors. You can order your tickets online here. Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street, Thursday March 27th 5-8PM.
I loved meeting and working with this Bride's Mother. She was so very kind, generous and gracious. A truly wonderful presence to have supporting and celebrating with her daughter on her wedding day. Also doesn't she look amazing? She is wearing Carolina Herrera, just like the Bride.
This Mother's Day brings a whole new meaning to me, as a few months ago I became a Mum. I hope that one day I will be able to celebrate with my own daughter on her wedding day. Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there!
