Bridesmaid Clutches

I am a big fan of the clutches from Emma Gordon London.  They are customizable to your wedding colours, beautifully hand-made and affordable.  Wouldn't they make a nice gift for your bridesmaids?  Choose a different clutch for each girl.  You can also have her initials and the date stitched inside the clutch.  Something pretty for her to carry her touch up lipstick and powder in.  Find Emma Gordon London's shop on etsy.

Wedding Gown Sketch

After the wedding, most wedding gowns end up being cleaned, boxed up and stored in away.  Some ladies are lucky enough to have their wedding gown sketched by the actual designer.  An alternative idea is to have an artist sketch your wedding gown from your wedding pictures.  Megan Hamilton does beautiful sketches for bridal gowns, groom tuxedos, and bridesmaid dresses.  Megan is wonderful to work with.  She will focus on the parts that you ask her to and include shoes, bouquets, veils and hair accessories on request.  Have her sketch mounted and framed and it will be a lovely reminder of your beautiful gown.  It also makes a great gift.  I have already ordered three sketches from her and each rendition was gorgeous.  Order a set of note cards and they could be nice thank you cards for your bridal party.  You can find her shop on Etsy.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting with Saukok Tiampo, co-founder of 57Grand, at her NYC showroom in the garment district.  It was great to meet another passionate person in the wedding industry and see their modern and chic designs.  The dresses are inspired by New York City, and designed and made in NYC's garment district.  The 14 styles in the bridesmaid collection are available at retail prices from $155 to $295.  I love how their website shows how you can rewear and accessorize the dress after the wedding.  Waverly, the cowel neck charmeuse dress in the first picture below is one of my favourites.  I would definitely wear that one again!  If you are not planning to rewear the dress, you can donate it.  57Grand has partnered with a non-profit organization Operation Prom, which provides dresses and gowns to low income students hoping to attend prom.  What a great idea!

57Grand recently launched their bridal collection.  The styles are named after NYC landmarks and retail prices range from $495 to $595 for short dresses and $750 to $1500 for long gowns.  The bridal line will debut in 4 stores this month:

Flair Boston MA

Bella Bridesmaid Los Gatos CA

Bella Bridesmaid DC

Bella Bridesmaid Charlotte NC

The full collection of bridal and bridesmaid dresses are available at their NYC showroom at 250 West 39th St, 8th Floor, NY NY 10018, and via their sample programme.
