Stephanie knew she wanted to get married at Blue Hill at Stone Barns before she had even seen it in person. When she visited with her then fiance David, they knew it was the perfect spot for them to say their vows and celebrate with their friends and family. It is such a romantic and beautiful place. Treating your guests to a gastronomic experience like this makes it really special! The grey clouds were really challenging us that day, but we kept all our fingers crossed, and managed to keep the ceremony and cocktail outdoors without a drop of rain! They were married in the courtyard in front of the grand oak tree under a chuppah covered in wisteria, hydrangea and amaranth. Guests were invited to the garden for cocktails and into the Hayloft for dinner. One of my favourite things that day were the tiny gold farm animals used for the escort cards. For their favours, Stephanie and David infused olive oil with rosemary or chili flakes and bottled them individually themselves. A truly delightful summer wedding at the farm.
