One of the reasons why I enjoy my job is I get to meet many talented people that are passionate about what they do. I recently met Meredith Kurosko, founder and creative director of Regas, and had the pleasure of doing a studio visit to take a look at their work. The studio is in a very unique location, on the second floor of a small Greek Orthodox church on the west side of Manhattan. As you walk through the space, the walls are filled with examples of their invitations.
They have a letterpress in-house and most of their work is letterpress, although they do offer other types of printing through their custom design process, like flat printing and engraving. Regas has a library of ready to mail designs. If you can't find what you are looking for, they will work closely with you to create a custom design. I was blown away by their folio of custom work. Everything was gorgeous! Such luxurious paper and beautiful letterpressed invitations, maps, programmes, menus and welcome packets. Every design was very unique and I felt really told a story about the couple and their wedding.
Here are some quick snaps I took of just a few of their designs. Browse their website to see more.
