High Line Styled Bridal Shoot Part II

In the second look, the short dress Daphne was much more playful, and a throwback to the 1920s and 1930s, when the High Line was built.  Modern Trousseau uses leftover material from production to create their sashes and belts, leaving little to waste.  For the second bouquet, traditional flowers—Alabaster white Garden Roses, white Astilbe, Picasso Calla Lilies, and Hosta leaves—were tightly grouped by species to create a more modern look.  The Groom paired his black tux with a skinny black tie with a subtle paisley motif.

The bride and groom had their first look and pre-wedding photo shoot at the High Line.  They also stopped to share a small picnic, with delicious cupcakes from Billy’s Bakery.  The crockery used was from Fishs Eddys, complete with the New York skyline pattern.

The invitations were designed and printed by Greenwich Letterpress.  Their paper is either 100% tree free post consumer cotton or 100% recycled, with all inks being soy based.  All their work is produced using 100% wind energy.

The bridesmaid’s dark truffle Perry dress from 57Grand was designed and constructed in the Garment District.  The modern sheath with a sharply cut graphic neckline was an urban counter to the bride’s floral detailed gown.  Tejani provided the stud earrings and cuff bracelet.

An intimate reception was held at Klee Brasserie, where the food was inspired by local, seasonal and organic ingredients.  One of my favourite dishes was yellow heirloom beets growing out of pumpernickel “soil”.  The tables at Klee were made from underwater maple wood.  We used crystal chargers, crystal candle ware and wooden napkin rings to complement the modern, but approachable design of the restaurant.  Instead of printing individual menus, chalkboards were used to save paper.
